Buduchnist sponsors St.Sofia Catholic School
Open House
Buduchnsit Credit Union was pleased to
sponsor this year’s Open House and Curriculum
Night held at St. Sofia Catholic School in
Mississauga on September 24th.
Hundreds of students, parents, teachers, and
staff gathered for this annual event held
outside on the grounds of the school.
The staff from BCU’s Mississauga Branch was
instrumental in helping to organize the event.
In addition to funding the barbecue of jumbo hot
dogs and drinks, Buduchnist Credit Union also
held a raffle for prizes, culminating in a draw
for an iPOD Shuffle.
On this beautiful autumn day, BCU’s mascot,
foxy Lys Mykyta was on hand to entertain
the kids and give out refreshments.
We thank our wonderful group of BCU staff and
volunteers— Roma Denderys, Josyf Pelech, Oksana
Dychka, Oksana Kostiw, and her son Roman— who
helped make the event a great success.

Buduchnist shines in Parade
On Saturday, September 19, an impressive group representing the Buduchnist Team marched in the Bloor-West Village during the Toronto Ukrainian Festival parade.
Proudly leading the way was a group carrying a huge blue-and-yellow Buduchnist banner,
closely followed by a white Buduchnist mustang convertible featuring BCU’s children’s mascot,
Lys Mykyta. As the Buduchnist musical jingle serenaded onlookers;
staff, members of Buduchnist Credit Union and representatives of our Board of Directors marched
together wearing “I love Buduchnist” t-shirts and carrying BCU umbrellas and slogan placards.

After the parade, BCU staff handed out free doughnuts to passers-by
who visited the credit union and talked to BCU’s Wealth Management Team.

Throughout the day, visitors to our lively BCU booth picked up colourful flyers,
promotional gifts, candy for the kids, listened to great music, and won some great BCU raffle prizes.
Congratulations to all the BCU members and staff who helped create a joyful
and visible festival presence!
Buduchnist Mascot-a Hit with Kids!
This past week, Lys Mykyta, the
Buduchnist Children’s Account mascot, visited
the annual graduation of the Sonechko
kindergarten. During this fun celebration
supervised by the school’s Director, Anna Gavris,
kids had the opportunity to sing, dance, and
show-off their talents. The highlight of the
event was the appearance of Lys Mykyta, whose
surprise arrival had been kept a secret. The
audience of children and parents sprang to their
feet with excitement when Lys Mykyta arrived,
entertaining the crowd and handing out gifts and
sweets to all in attendance.

Oksana Dychka, staff representative from
Buduchnist’s Mississauga Branch, joins
Lys Mykyta as he greets excited
youngsters at the kindergarten.

Student, Roman Dychka, helps Lys Mykyta,
